Anyone have experience with sizing for running Yucca Fins in the winter.
Normally wear size L in Fins and Booties (5/7mm axxe booties)

Curious if one size up in fins would do the trick or what to accommodate the booties.

I have not found a comfortable solution yet. Da fins is my barefoot model. Went up two sizes but was too narrow. Hurt like hell. Got a similar sized yucca, maybe they’ll work since they’re wider.

In my experience go one size up to XL and make sure your boots dont have any straps. I lube up the boots with vaseline for easy on and off.

You want a boot similar to this...the slicker the better. Also...even in the coldest wintertime surf i find i cant go thicker than 3mm if i want my feet to survive a session without massive cramps. Depending on how wide your feet are you want to go with the widest fins you can find.

I haven't sized up Yuccas...i got a pair of XL dafins that work well for me in the winter.

Finally...if youre serious about wearing fins in the winter you really have to work your feet, stretch them and get thr blood flowing really well. Otherwise the cramping is intense. Eventually your feet get acclimated. The more you do it the less your feet hurt.
