I thought I'd start a topic about beater boards that one keeps around and rides occasionally, or always.

This is one of two Hansen's I have. This thing is short, narrow, and fat. it's kinda trippy to ride. I'll post up pics of my other one soon.

Anyone else doing this?

I've got a 9'5" Phillips Pig that I bought thinking it would be a beater, but it's now pretty much the only longboard I surf.

I got a beat up 11' Munoz to play around on with the kids and because I was like; wow thats the biggest board I have ever seen

Literally became my favorite board. Also due to the waves I take it out in but riding that airplane wing is just pure joy

In the Islands we called those "under the porch longboards". A necessary piece of equipment for every surfer's old cane house.
