Saw the Unwound reunion Saturday night on Astoria, OR and is was the kind of bittersweet // amazing I've rarely experienced. Rightfully so, Jared Warren (KARP, Melvins, Big Business) expertly replaced Vern Rumsey (RIP). It was joyful yet also stung a little. Ultimately, I was blown away. I also lucked into some super fun sunny offshore waves the next day in Seaside. They are taking off down the coast soon and will also play New York, Philly and Chicago. I highly recommend catching it.

Don't know how I haven't spent more time in this thread, but saw SUNN O))) in full last night for the first time - about as visceral as a musical experience as you can get. I've spent my entire career in the music industry and have seen more shows than I can count but nothing prepares you for the violence of the first note literally rattling the air around you. No recording could touch the live set but this is just nice to put on as you go about your day.

SUNN O))) "Life Metal" album released a couple of years ago literally blew my mind.

On audiophile headphones, it's a complete mind melter. Incredible!

Crush some 'ludes, 'wave some Haagen-Dazs, and twist it up to Eleven.
