Looking for a glass on fin for a 1960’s Yater spoon restoration. I know True Ames offers one that I can cut the base off of but I’m looking for something without a logo so it looks more like the original. Anyone out there know of anyone that makes similar fins?
Any leads would be much appreciated!

The Morey TRAF fins early Yater spoons had were polypropylene and just used resin to hold them in. Same fins were used with a bolt in the end making them a Wonderbolt fin in later years.

@SeniorGrom has made some replacement fins that look period correct out of polypropylene cutting board material.

I will have to look through some of my project stuff, I have removed a few for various reasons and may have one intact to replace. Will shoot you a DM.

Does you Spoon have a fin box? Like JMAC said, most of the Yater Spoons had the Yater designed TRAF molded polypropylene fins. Some had the wonder bolt and others were just resin into a mounting box. I have seen some that used the Waveset boxes, but Renny started to use a glass on fin that was more in line with a Greenough design in late 1967 into 1968. The early 1968 Spoons were my all time favorites of that model.
