I’ve admired your avatar for years I personally have no shortage of beer cans, have no problems with Brazilians, and am fascinated by anything called a murder hornet - nickels always in short supply And I really have admired that beautiful picture

Saw a back surgeon yesterday who suggested that instead of the implant he wanted to put in (HF spinal stimulation) he might want to go in and remove the bone areas causing stenosis. If it works I will be able to do a lot more. If not, I might be that guy on the beach taking pictures....

My dad (early 70s) had lumbar spinal stenosis and had all the below done in November

Laminotomies facetectomies and foraminotomies with discectomy bilateral lumbar 4-5
Placement of interbody cage and bone graft lumbar 4-5
    Posterior instrumented fusion lumbar 4-5

Recovery was quick, at least relative to what I would have expected, and he's been back to golf and doing other things for a few months now. Dunno if that's anything remotely like what you're having done but if so I can run any Q's you've got by him.
