What fins do you all use with your surf mats? I'm new to matting and am looking at Yucca but the different flex options are throwing me off

Perhaps I'll have the same issue then. I have Churchill Makapuus from Costco and they were too harsh for me. Have scabs on my inner ankle bone right now from them...I found the Yuccas to hurt my feet. Da Fins for me.

For a while I was using PSS Viper’s, but found that UDTs with “Greenough modifications” (http://23breaths.blogspot.com/2010/09/more-gg-udt-mods.html?m=1) worked really well. Lately, I’m quite happy with Yucca ultra soft.What fins do you all use with your surf mats? I'm new to matting and am looking at Yucca but the different flex options are throwing me off

Some helpful and thought provoking info. All future fin recommendations should be accompanied by foot/toe type. Looking at feet will never be the same. Egyptian here.Surf Mats... What's the Deal?

what does the cut channel above the graphic do? I see the other board has one as well. Is it a grip for the hand? Brian is the design expert, but I see it serving three purposes: 1. allows for a much deeper belly (was going for a Velo-esque design here) without having significant weight and...jamboards.com

Wanted to love Da Fin, have tried two pairs over the years. Great thrust and they are easy to stick in a backpack to travel with. Unfortunately they chew up the top of my foot. Everyone is different and it's true that you need to try different fins for extended go outs.jamboards.com

I really like my Yucca fins. I have a soft and standard and they are both amazing. I added the neoprene inside and at ankle and it is a game changer. Plus they are a rad small company who actually is active in the scene... my two centsjamboards.com
