I may have to go for a couple months-job in Nov-dec.
Is there any decent surf around?
I know there is at the British side of the islands, but I'm interested just the US side
    Thanks!!

Spent 4 months in 2005 !! Hull bay couple times while I was there. Nothing daily the year I was there. Had a 10' MYM with me !! Might be able to put you in touch with a guy.

Ferry ride to Tortola. Love that island. Apple Bay or Cane Carden.

I've never stayed at St Thomas but stayed in St John and St Croix. Didn't have a board with me either trip so I didn't surf. Looked like some decent beach break a few days in St Croix and in St John some fellas we paddling out to an outside reef one day. Couldn't tell the size of the wave from land.

Has to be some type of wave down there Nov/Dec. I'm sure you will find something.

    Sebastian, DO IT!!

I'll text you about it later. Lots of good surf there if you know where to look. Hull Bay is consistent but there are other spots.

Going to St. John for the 1st time in December. Won’t have a board. I’ve read that the beaches are beautiful, water is super clear, and snorkeling is the best. No mention of surfing (just some tourist level sup action).

Any surf info you might have would be appreciated. Where would I even find a board to rent?

Probably not going back to STT until we fly out - may not make it to a BVI island, either.

Also is the water warm in Dec? Thanks

I checked today and there’s almost no place to rent over there
Or either to buy a used log
We better bring our own boards
