Any recommendations for Spence Son of Sam? If the man himself can chime in that’d be great, not sure how to contact him outside of the forum.

Ran a 10” PHD which felt great but was a bit loose and slipped out on a noseride. My local shop has a True Ames Dane Peterson fin in stock which looks like it has more surface area.

Any ideas would be helpful.

This is the "Big Red" fin designed by Paul Gross. This particular version was made by Fibre Glas Fin Co. and was cut from a 1/2" panel. It has a 6" base and is approximately 9 5/8" tall. Fibre Glas Fin Co. may still be making them but you would need to contact them. You could also contact Sunrise Boardworks and see about getting one from them.

If you would rather walk into a surfshop and pick up a fin, then I would suggest either the Greenough 4C at 9.5" or the 9.25" Skip Frye fin, both made by True Aames.

My dane Peterson pig came with his fin. It works unreal. I wouldn’t hesitate to try that one. It’s pretty similar to a 4a. Maybe try that 1st if you have one.
