I remember Hurricane Gloria so well - we lived inland about a hr from the coast in NH and our property got worked - multiple trees down, power lines ripped off the house, etc. Hardly any other damage on our street - hypothesized a micro-burst or something.

    I remember Bertha 1990. I guess I should remember Bertha 1996 but I don’t.

I'm wondering if "Seagull" is the park here in Satellite Beach. It was my main hangout and way-back-then was known as "Gulf Station". If you became good enough at Gulf, you might be accepted at Lums by the hardcore Lums Bums.

I remember Gloria also. We had to evacuate Ocean City NJ. Not sure if it was before or after the storm passed but just remember surfing till dark one night and being scared to come in for fear of not seeing and hitting a piece of metal that was inside the break. The metal was part of a ship that had run aground in 1901 called the Sindia. It has since been removed.
