what’s the board look like?
It has blue stripes running across it. Pinched rails, narrow square tail -- like a predecessor of my RA Alex Knost board.
From what I understand all G&S Fryes have his lam on them. Most have his drawn on wings on the bottom but not all.
I have never seen wings drawn on the bottom of any 66,67 or 68 however the very first ones did have hand drawn stencil lams prior to lams being made.
Mines a ‘66. Since I’ve owned it I was offered some ridiculous stuff in trade including a new custom. Decided to pass and keep it. It works really good.
Wow beautiful guys, great info too!
this was a cool board, happy it went to a good home!
Jaimo, beautiful board do you happen to know what number yours is? One of mine is #92 I have owned it for about 35 yrs
I do not know a number. When I’m able to track one down I’ll post. I’ve had mine only 5 years. I know that it sat in a plastic bag for some 20 years (at least) before I got it.
It looks it, very nice board. The numbers are usually written in pencil on the stringer below the wings.
