plenty of us have rode and enjoyed boards that came out of this machine . we just might not have known they came from this machine.

that's just it. the rider is the judge of a board's performance and hence it's value.

I got really, really cold in the water this morning when it dawned on me that math teachers seem to make extraordinarily good surfboards. Gary Hanel. Spencer Kellogg. Probably more. This is completely apropos of nothing but seemed like a worthwhile scientific hypothesis.

My buddy that shapes used to be a boiler maker.
I know one that used to be fire fighter.
