Well the way I see it, something is better than nothing. It's going to take decades before the can make a meaningful impact.Though there's been much talk and public relations about the 'boy genius' behind the effort (and much fundraising) the technology is basically a large fishing net, not much different than technology that's been around at least 5,000 years.
It's too bad that all these "marketing genius" firms and think tanks can't figure out a way how to market this stuff. Once something is deemed to have some value, then people want it. Perhaps an "out there" pipe dream, but stranger things have happened.
