Howzit going,

I recently acquired this gorgeous Jacobs 422. Rides absolutely insane, 100% the best log I own. It weighs about 25-30lbs. It is without a doubt a remake I am just curious if anyone has any info on who shaped it? I understand that Matt Calvani has the rights on them, but I also thought that he signs majority of the boards he makes e.g. I rode a remake of a Rick noserider he shaped and his name was difficult to miss! There are no identifying markers (serial number/signature). Curious if anyone has experience with these.

Cheers.

Haha! This one gave me a good laugh, sadly for you, not a chick! Just a chap with a fascination for five fins! Been hooked on the bonzer bonanza since I first rode one of Malcolm’s shapes at a lined up jersey beach break

I have a '90s 422 (as well as a 211) shaped by Hap. His boards are signed in pencil with his name. There is probably a signature somewhere but with the blue tint it wold be difficult to see.
I have seen 422’s where he signed the stringer or in between the stringers. I went and meticulously checked both stringers top and bottom but there aren’t any markings. There is neither a serial number nor any signature. Thank you for the help I really appreciate it!

It’s definitely a Calvani based on the stringer set up. The boards that Hap shaped have stringers close together with that tell tale nose wedge.
