Just wondered. Does anyone surf Robert August boards anymore? I don’t know anyone that does and I very rarely see anyone out on one anymore. I use to like his boards though I haven’t had one myself for sometime.

Yeah it’s been a really long time sense I’ve seen a Tufflite . Those boards did tend to hold up pretty well though .. You know I follow Wingnut on Insta and even he rides a lot of FireWire stuff and other these days. I bet alot of younger people don’t even know who Robert August these days

Saw him a few years ago shaping in Tamarindo. Right now i am in France and there are still RA handshaped boards for sale here.

I saw a guy a few weeks ago in a ra midlength of some sort. Looked like an 8’ egg sort of thing. Guy surfed it well.
I rented a surftec wir for an afternoon on a Hawaii trip a few years ago. Worked well enough for small waves.
Other than like said I rarely see his brand around.

Yeah. And even though I don’t surf one . A bit sad in my opinion that his brand is dying out of sorts

There’s more of a following up Huntington Beach way, as he has his shop up on Edwards Street. Michinton is a good shaper.
