Sure is nice to be back in a spring suit though. I’ll take sharks, stingrays, jellyfish, red tide or anything else that keeps the crowds down.

Surfed this morning. Still red tide but not as severe as last week. There was a good amount of foam which I think is an indication of the bloom dying.

Just surfed in mission beach. Very little evidence of red tide.

Red tide has disappeared from Bolsa Chica area as well now. Surfed it (two weeks back?) looking like tomato soup and didn't have any ill effects. Am prone to sinus infections and the like too - I say if you're not having reactions... might as well surf it and see. Side note, took wife and son down to visit it at night, was brighter than any other red tide I can remember. Super fun.

Me too, surfing in a big red tide always leaves me with ear infections....sucks.

I drove down to SD on Tuesday for a board pick up and saw you all had some banging surf at Lowers and the Marine Base....NICE! We are stuck in the 2'- 3' zone and windy, windy, windy up here BUT I did string 8 days in a row the last two weeks so not complaining at all...
