What’s worked best for any of you who have ridden one? I know it’s personal preference just trying to get a general idea because i don’t have any longboard fins at the moment.

Picking up a Gato Heroi Daley Driver this week and wanted to get it out in the water asap.

    Thanks for any recommendations!

Velzy Classic or Greenough 4A would be a good starting point IMO. Remember with a narrower tail you may not want / need as much fin as you think.

I really like the Skip Frye fin in a pintail.

Depends a lot on how you want it to ride...

I have a Dingpatch 4A template that I really like, and my go-to fin in my 9'6" pintail log is 9.5" Christenson Tracker. Used to really like the Velzy noserider template on a slightly wider round pin in small waves. Velzy Classic is also a good fin... Like shadydave said, so many choices.

Thanks all the recs! As I thought about it a bit more (really good point with narrower tail not needing as much fin) and realized how much I loved the PHD on my old Liddle Pathfinder so I’m gonna give that a shot first. Thinking 10” so it has a bit more nose riding capabilities.

1004DDE8-E119-480E-936F-A6DAA6A34F7A.jpeg I’m running this one in my 10’ pintail pig. Blended a Velzy and a greenough and ran it at 10.25 with the tip even with the tail. Just so happened the area of the fin is also 2/3 inward of the rail when laid flat before I glassed it on.
