Specifically, curious if there's a specific type of paint or clear coat type finish that won't kill the flex or make it brittle.I've seen a few. I say go for it.

Thank you SG, let you know how it goes.If you are spraying, scuff the surface with 220 grit. Mask off areas not wanting to be painted. Rust-Oleum 2X or Krylon work on plastics. It will take several days at room temp. to fully cure. Dust on color. You can seal with clear too if you want extra protection. The painted surface should adhere well and flex without cracking.
