Lost my mom to brain cancer. Diagnosis to end 6 weeks. The hardest part is the affect it has on their thought process and memory etc. By the end the confusion and lack of knowing they have is heart breaking. She went in and out of knowing and not having a clue who we were, makes it hard to say goodbye to someone who has no idea who your are.

I met President Carter on two occasions. He is a very nice, caring person who puts in a lot of time taking care of those less fortunate than himself. I have a really cool photo of me with the President and Mrs. Carter (autographed) from about 15 years ago. Unfortunately, I was in serious need of a haircut at the time. Hopefully, his treatments will go well and he will live to 120.
