BeautiesHaving more width allows for the curve to enable a longer surfboard the maneuverability to ride smaller waves yet still holding their own in bigger waves. Best of Both Worlds IMHO. These boards are 23" but only for a small part of them. This allows for the curve whereas if I locked myself in to 21-1/2" or 22" I would end up w/super narrow ends or an ugly, super parallel hotdog planshape. That's just reality. Pictured are Fountain of Youth's 9'0" & 9'6" that will ride chest high waves quite enjoyably and a lot more.
