Anyone had much experience with the modern hulls from Hilbers, Andreini and Liddle that all doff their hat to MP?

Andreini and Hilbers 'MP' models and Liddle's 'M3P' specifically?

Does the addition of the side bites help things going backside and/or in beach break?

    Thanks in advance

Dave parmenter talks about this in length.

The only thing the sidebites or multi fins systems do is allow a rider to use them as leverage to increase speed by lateral movement.

If you’re not really actively pumping for speed or riding rail to rail they don’t do anything except slow you down

Mostly, yes... but if placed in-line like some old Brewers, they do not respond to pumping but moreso simply offer some extra hold (especially if single-foiled and toed slightly). There is the drag factor though, true...

yea. Good point. On big wave guns they just offer extra hold

I have a 7'0 Fineline "Hilbers" MP with side bites. Surfs awesome in beach break and going back side it has been deemed my travel board...
