I'm getting a new 5'10" twin keel fished shaped at the moment and like you have had lots of different fish (McNeill, DVS, DMS etc Aussie shapers) and reading your review I am hoping this one is somewhere close to as good as your fish sounds. Great stuff...makes me want to go surfing...on a fish.

I put myself on the wait list for a keel from Michael the other week - your review and watching one of the older local guys ripping a keel at one of the reefs in la jolla is keeping the excitement burning during the long wait !

I'll give you a quick run down of the Tyler Warren Bar of Soap. I might do a full review on it later. I ended up selling it after I got the Micheal Miller Fish. It just did everything I wanted but better.
The TW was a 5'6''x20 3/4'x 2 1/2''. The TW had really nice tuned rails. Huge wide tail. Belly entry to mellow double concave I believe, but I could be wrong on that. Nothing crazy happening with the concave. Keels were noticeable longer than other glass ons I've seen.
Ride: The board needs a decent wave to really get going. It felt like it wouldn't catch a plane right away, but once you broke through that initially start up speed it could really get going. It had great speed and control once you got it going. It could be surfed very aggressively and handle the most critical turns and sections I could put it in. This is where it was better than the MM fish. It was better a hitting the lip and doing more critical turns. It reminded a lot of a groveller shortboard. Which was interesting because it doesn't look like a shortboard at all. The board could create speed very well but lacked glide to maintain that speed. One the board slowed down to that same kind of initially speed zone that I'd notice it would bog pretty bad. So it would start to just bog at higher speeds than other boards I've had. So it was not as good of a groveller as you'd expect, for low quality weak beach break. It was noticeably smaller than the 5'10'' MM fish. But not by a crazy amount. Bigger than my 5'8'' GH Pill, which I'll have to do a review on later.
Overall given a decent wave, the board felt fantastic. But I found myself only surfing it in a pretty limited range of surf. Somewhere from shoulder high to head & 1/2 and with a good shaped wave. The MM Fish handles a wider range of size and quality(waist high to DOH+), is faster and has more glide, and has some kind of X factor to it that makes me be able to do things I wouldn't expect. The MM Fish is harder to do blow tails and hit the lip but it can still do it. When I want to surf more aggressively I'll grab my GH Pill, which also surfs similar to the TW but also has range similar to the MM Fish. So between the GH Pill and the MM Fish both providing different feels and doing all of what the TW could do but mostly better. There was too much overlap to keep it around.

Just going to circle back to this review a year or more later. I've added at least another 100+ sessions on it and it has only got better and continues to impress me. I've basically changed to a 2 board quiver guy over the last year. This Fish and a longboard. In the past I'd always have 2-3 shorter boards in the car to mix and match with conditions or what I was feeling. Now I just bring this fish and it can handle anything I throw at it. Had it out on some big hollow days and it did great. Lots of memorable sessions with long waves and swooping turns. Makes average days more fun. Excels with its lined up and firing.
