Maui in March with wife and kids?

Flights are $300 RT LAX to Maui during my kids school break. I have never been to Maui. Anyone have advice on a resort / condo / VRBO or general area.

My wife and son love to snorkel. My son is only 8 so if there is any snorkeling accessible off the beach that is best. He is not quite strong enough to do an open water boat trip thing.

And me well i love to surf... imagine that.

My ideal would be a place that has a decent break ( not very picky) and snorkeling very near by.

Any other Maui advice apreciated.

I went in October and stayed in a condo in Kaanapali. The place had a really serene beach that was great for swimming and snorkeling. There was a pool as well that was great.

I drove to Lahaina every day to surf.
