Honolulu, hi
Yes was going to say fuller rails on the 8'10 MPE P-38 but still knifey. It paddles amazingly well with the added bonus of being able to swing the board around. I didn't notice that the 9'4" Magic Sam paddled any easier than the 8'10" MPE but it's prob an offset of the knifier rails on the Magic Sam. As with most boards when you step in the middle of the board you get more drive but on the P-38 there is a very noticeable 5th gear for me.

On the 8'10" MPE I've tried the 9.25 a flex, RL volan, 9.5 PHD and the MPE fin. My preference is for the narrower base 9.25" a flex.

Picking up an 8'10" Spence Sam will report back how that goes.

I left my last longboard with a box down in Mexico, Needed a new one for the next trip. I also really wanted a reason to need this fin. Magic Sam esq. board sounded about right. Foiling this one thin and gonna do some shin splitter knife rails on it.

Very interested in the apples to apples Spence Sam vs. P-38 comparison.
