I had a try before buy session on it. Third wave (chest/shoulder) sold me. Got around the fast section and back into the pocket effortlessly. It rides unlike any board I've ridden from that era, a much more modern feel. Anyhow, I'm stoked!
Some info on this Frye:
1. No thank you, it is not for sale.
2. Yes, it is a rider (like all of the boards in my quiver). 6 foot 4 inches length. I even have the original 70s fin!
3. Huge shoutout goes to @mgarbutt who helped me out and did an excellent job getting this board back into watertight condition last year. Matt was great to work with, and he and I were on the same page about keeping the original battle scars, not hiding anything, and do just enough to get it sealed & strong, and back in the water & functioning again.
sooo, uh... how much quiver downsizing are you planning on??
