Dt -2 seems a solid choice, would imagine him finding the dt-1 ‘s narrowness difficult for tip time unless he’s very nimble or only using it in solid waves.

Don’t know how available they are to you but the mctavish Ray gleave models always walked a nice line between 90’s style up turns and noseriding ability.

There must be a Stewart model that fits the bill too? ( if you forgive the pun :)
I agree that the DT1 would be a bit too narrow up front but ill let him know of both and see what he thinks
