    Yes, goofy foot shaped under his Kauai label, Joe did not use this label to often.

    FWIW, I tend to agree with JBB on this. I bought a new Hobie Phil in 1983. The old Hobie shop was well stocked with those models at the time. Mine had no signature on it. Years later, I spoke to Terry Martin and he said that he had probably shaped my board.

    Nailed it. I ordered a custom from T.M. a few years before he passed. Asked him for a copy, under his signature, of the 90s era 9.6 Hobie PE signed version that I owned and showed to him.

    He told me that, despite having ghost shaped a number of those PE model boards himself, he would NOT make an exact copy out of respect to Phil.

    I walked away with a rad, triple stick, single fin that was similar but, in no way identical to the original, especially the rails and foil. After that exchange, I had a ton of respect for Terry Martin.
