Just got this beautiful wayne rich speed foil - 8’6 x 22x 2 3/4 and I’m trying to figure out the fins as I don’t have Much experience with narrower tails or Thruster/quad setups on longer boards. I’m 205, looking to use it in waist-overhead+ points in the malibu/ventura area.

Currently have the fcs2 carver large thruster in there , also have large performer thruster with small 80/20 quad rears to experiment with. I’m going to try different setups but would love some advice since Im just guessing here

FWIW, I have enjoyed using the Shapers Fins Co. Dick van Straalen carbon quad set in longer quads, not sure if you guys can get them in the states though..? I know other guys like the large JS thruster set up in larger boards, so those may be worth hunting down. The McCallum Captain quad set looks like it has potential in bigger boards and no doubt has been tested by him in longer boards.

Other than that, if you don't hear from Wayne, then just pick up some used sets and have at it yourself. Fin set up is fairly personal I think and as long as they're facing forwards, each set up will have its own merits.
