Shark Pit: had the Canova Cruiser swim under us there one day. I saw a "wake" coming towards us from the North, it was that big. No fins out of the water. All body parts up and out of the water and quit breathing. It leisurely swam right under us on its way to Sebastian Inlet. I was about 3 feet under. One of the very most terrifying moments of my life, right up there with "you've got Cancer"!

Monster Hole: A shark tasted me there in August 1972.
