Thank you so much for sharing this! I love reading and learning about displacement hulls. Alex Kopps' video project (mentioned in the article) had a trailer and it was the so incredible looking! It's kinda what got me interested surfing in the first place along with his Postcard Series he shot for Mollusk. The culture around those boards is really interesting.

at 1:00:12 this guy stepped on and then kicked away an alligator! How mean. I hope he got his just due. Please be kind to Animals!

Kirk Putnam talks a lot about Liddle surfboards, riding displacement hulls, origins behind the name "death machine," and lots of other great stuff.
