    Hey All-

I found a Tyler triple stringer (with the outboard stringers 4 or 5" out), yellow bottom/rails and clear deck that looks to be in nice shape for $799 w/ bag, OBO. This one is in Topanga.

Also saw a Bing Silver Spoon 9'4". Blue marble swirl deck/rails, light blue bottom, glassed on Heritage style pivot fin. $550. In Dana.

Here's another Boss, this one mango yellow, in "excellent condition." $600

If you're in the market, there's a CF Device (10'0") down in Encinitas for $1k.

Lastly, and for those with...ahem...thinner wallets, here's a great deal and what looks to be a nice board. It's an ACE (Albert C. Elliot) who shaped for Bing back in the day and did a lot of boards for South Coast. I had a 10'0" triple stringer SC that Albert shaped and it was a really great board. I only traded it for a bigger (10'4"), heavier Hunt, but the ACE shape was solid. This one is 9'8" and in Vista. "Volan glass, good condition", nice acid wash bottom, deck patch and....wait for it....just $220.

    Good luck,

    Eric

For those interested in Mr. Knost's boards--and apparently there are a few--here's an intriguing find. A 9'6" step tail, step deck Tanner Prairie board that apparently is a "Knost Model". Who knows--I can't read the lam--but you could inquire if you're down. Black t+b with rosey red pins around the steps. The board is about 3/4 down this page:

Board is in HB. As always, happy hunting.

    My pleasure.

Today's deals are a 9'6" Surfboards Hawaii Model A, the splayed triple stringer classic. Ad says "never used". Asking is $695.

Also in SD is a Dano 9'2", looks like an Old Pleasure. Could've been an Knost board before he jumped ship to Creme/GH because there's an RVCA lam on the board. Ad says "excellent condition" and nice tiger stripes; $525.

    Good luck.

    Hey All-

I guess it's the tough times, but it appears people want cash more than surfboards.

I saw this Dano Noseglider a while back and it's back on the market. It's great looking in my book....green tiger stripes, glass on Heritage style fin. Not cheap at $750, but you know what Danos go for new.

    +++++++++++++

I don't know if this is for a surfboard or a skate board. The ad reads only "Hobie longboard $35 not in best condition." Could be worth the call. You could end up with a Hobie for thirty five semolians.

This last one--though listed on the LA list--is up in SB. This belongs to my friend Tim who is one of those guys like Leo Nordine. He'll order a board, ride it once and decide if it's a keeper or not. It's a 10'6" John Lessing, a veteran Hermosa shaper who's been at it for 50 years or so. I know Tim just got a new board so it's probably the reason he's selling. Board has been ridden literally once--as new condition--and he's asking only $575. Step deck, glass-on fin.

That is beeeeeautiful. Gnar, this Hansen has your name on it: 10 foot, barn door D fin, piggy look with a pulled in nose. As good a resto job as I've seen (albeit with the lo-res craigs photos). The lam should say Hansen Gnardiff (rim shot please!).

They're dropping out of the trees now.

Here's a Yater with a **3 inch** balsa stringer. The guy is asking $400. In Santa Monica. It's only a 9'0", but this one could be worth following up on. Has the classic "Santa Barbara Surf Shop" stick-letter lam.

    http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/spo/2178009634.html

Next up is a Creme, also a "shorter" board (only 9'1"). $350, in Dana.

    http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/spo/2177829014.html

A Harbour Rapier, 9'8" in what's described as "great condition" (it looks it). Marbled red bottom/rails, clear deck; $625.

    http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/spo/2177830481.html

A Terry Martin double stringer, clear volan layup, 9'7"; $450 in Clairemont (SD).

    http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/spo/2178099284.html

Nuuhiwa Noserider Surftech in wood. Same shape/template as the Bing (Nuuhiwa) Noserider...says 9'6" but I think it's 9'8". $500 in Poway. "Excellent shape".

    http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/spo/2175966078.html

    Go get 'em.
