I had an 8'6 Parabola for a while and it was one of my favorite boards ever.8’8” seems like an odd length but maybe with this design it works? I tried to Google and ran into this entertaining Reddit thread on this same board:

Like @noahspath said, it's a unique board that required a unique approach. You're constantly having to check your positioning on the board when paddling out / paddling into a wave. too far forward and the nose catches, too far back and you won't get into anything. However, once you master the placement it's a dream to ride. The speed it generates down the line is incredible. You need to surf it off the tail otherwise the nose will catch in the wave, but the sharp knify rails mean you can bottom turn on a dime and pull into the pocket. You can see me grabbin' rail on mine in my profile photo and tucking in under the lip. Manny is a genius and it's pure joy riding anything he shapes.
