Skip Frye isn’t adverse to sharing his many years of Board Building Knowledge.El Bandito is along the lines of the wide point back 'involvement era' template that some of us are so preoccupied with these days. Learned about Chris through a bad ass fish that a friend of mine had 20 years ago. A shaper that's really got his shit together and absorbed a lot of knowledge from some legends. Had his shaping facility right next door to Skip. Maybe got some skills through osmosis (and obviously hard work).
The Bandito is faster in trim and sensitive off the tail, it maintains hold while riding from the nose through crucial sections. The 50/50 rails, continuous curve, wide point pulled back and shallow nose concave holds through turns with no drag and locks in while trimming and walking the board...mollusksurfshop.com
9'2" Takayama DT2 with bag for $850. I think this seller has sold a few pretty clean longboards in the recent past. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/spo/d/petaluma-92-takayama-longboard/7355784036.html
