[QUOTE=" Oalways fun..r to surf a couple of breaks at the far end of the Cliffs with no one else out.

buddy who lived on Bermuda Ave at the Cliffs had a small sailboat we'd sail down the river to Ralph's when I visiting if the conditions were right...always fun...as was skirting the edge of the sub base demarcation line on the way back, and watch just how fast those guard boats with the deck mounted twin 50's could appear to give you hell for doing so..

Nice!
Surfnfish, you may be the first dude I've seen that looks Exactly like I imagined. And Killafornia, tell Charlie Sheen that's a damn nice Rawson round pin!
Good thread indeed.

Not mine (obviously), but I do have a key (handy in case of an ‘end of days’ scenario). Spend 20-30 days aboard every summer. No surf excursions yet, but I did bring an inflatable pool on board this year for the long hot steam down to the DelMarVa area.

Hope to have my own someday - really want to learn how to sail)...

in my early 20's was the pilot on a 33' converted Stryker coastal search and rescue boat out of Pillar Point Harbor in Half Moon Bay, no USCG on station so we were it....few years of that and stood for my initial 40 ton license than leased an older wood 55' William Gardner design licensed for 24...couple seasons later went up to 60 tons and a 1/4" steel plate 65' Ed Monk (sea busting tank) licensed for 32, and co-captained an 85' offshore albacore boat that could sleep 34...run boats in the day, offload at 3 pm, clean up and head for the surf, 3 months off each winter surfing somewhere...kids came, shifted gears and went into drydock

had a Ranch boat of some sort for decades, partnered in power boats up to 32'...got into sailboat racing on SF Bay during one period, crewed on a couple of rockets...

boats no different then surfing...once in your blood...
