Just had my first taste of a Mcvee @ a point. Picked this one up yesterday. 9’4. Really easy board to surf & does it all

Kinda as expected looser than a regular D fin but what really surprised me was the speed it has. But also can hold control from the nose. Since reading Marc’s book over 5 years ago I always wanted to give the setup a try.

I liked it, great clip

Did anyone notice the squirts of water shooting up through the fin box leash hole in the new board? Take a peek from about 7 and a half minutes in. May be a good idea to stick a string in there anyway, even if you don't use it lol

There’s a video of jimmy gamboa on a hull at Malibu ( called hull o Malibu I think) that’s the same. Ultimate no leash street cred?

I kinda thought the old one looked just as good. Be interested to know more about the bottom shape / model. They didn’t look full belly vaquero?
