Another amigo acquisition - 9'7" G&S SS Model stepdeck by Dom Picone
Pintail stepdeck long hull with finely foiled rails and unique wood & split foam stringer.
Can't guess glassing but it's gotta be rhino-coat or something cuz it's in amazing condition with only one tiny rail bink midway back port side and pretty much zero pressures. Rocker shot says it all: groovy hull trim and an extra gear up past the step... über-responsive smooth slider built for fun. This pandemic is wiping me out but I know karma/good vibes will be there when it's all over

    Dims aren't listed but it's 9'7" x approx. 22 1/2" x 3 1/16"

    JB no-haggle price is $600
    Located in Vista, CA

Am interested...never ridden a step deck. Anyone want to educate me on the differences having the step or concave on the deck as opposed to the bottom? can you have one foot in and one foot out of the step? Thanks!

I'm not a board design guru by any means, but as I understand they have totally different design objectives. A step deck is intended to lessen the swing weight of the nose and make the board easier to turn. Nose concave on the bottom of the deck is intended to increase noseriding stability and slow the board down in the pocket.
