Quick review of Bing Puck 2.0... for reference I'm 51, 5'8" 155 ~ surf like golf, can play but never great, get lucky sometimes.
So, traditionally, have ridden longboards, currently ride from 7' - 10' but been wanting to ride shorter for travel.
Picked up a Puck 2.0
Crappy, high tide near shore beach break 1-3...
- Paddles easy.
- Catches waves surprisingly easily (before hitting water, I was doubtful, I could ride this short, first wave popped right up)
- Accelerates/starts to plane very quickly (faster than my 7' fish)
- This seemed to lock it in quickly as quad sets, making it pretty stable (more stable than 7' fish)
- Slight s-deck and narrower nose that gets in easy
- Board seams to find wave energy naturally, locks in, making high / low trimming a breeze.
- Turns well from both front foot but with thinned out arch tail, can lean over and sink tail a little.
- Backside also no problem.
So far, pretty happy, look forward to getting it into some better conditions, but if it's really crappy and small... I haven't found anything else that put a bigger smile on my face than this so far.
Anyway, hope that helps.

Puck 2.0
The second generation Puck 2.0 is narrower and thinner than the original Puck which makes the board less bulky, quicker and more sensitive for rail-to-rail surfing. The narrower outline gives the board more parallel rails resulting in a faster board that can handle hollow conditions. To...
