Often seen with relatively small side bites and a cutaway center fin back in the day.

7.5 or 8.0 standard raked fin. Find something with some girth in the foil

flex fin or cutaway fin are good places to start probably go in the 9-9.5'' range, maybe smaller. See what what you like and go from there.

ran an 8.5ish fu performer in it today. looked too big. felt slow but a not a favorable day overall. have a 7.5 cutaway and a 7.5 in performer to try next

Learned to surf on a Becker legacy 2+1, bought it on layaways when I got my first job at 16 lol. Used the crap out of that board for so many years. 7.5in cutaway with small side bites was the ticket.

same with my Mitsven magic Probably could have even gone a bit smaller.

Whip turns from the tail, hauls ass and holds a high line in the front, but still plenty drive from the front of the board with side bites.

Also seen a lot of takayama two plus ones setup with a finger fins and dt pivot fins.

Placement in fin box can make a huge difference for speed, especially if your board has a lot of tail rocker and the fin has a lot of rake. Too far back on some boards has really slowed them down for me.

Cut away has felt like a fast fin in the few boards I've tried it. Throwing in a 4a/4c is never a bad idea either.

I saw a lot of DT's with fins 7.5 to 8.0., but not many were 10 footers.
