I have a 10’ Dreadnaught. Ridden it up to OH east coast beach break. I use a 7” 4A. Haven’t found the need to switch out the fin but I’m reading and learning.
If I’m above (or a little in front of) the fin this holds just fine. There’s so much rail.

I would agree with this as well. Although a longer EB would still have issues when it’s totally crappy out.
