Tudor's Got a Brand New Pigbag

he's deffinetly an insane surfer... i saw him (without realizing it at first) at my local crappy beach break on a waist high day and i saw him pick this right up out of no where, he did a crazy drop knee bottom turn then just perched for days... i thought to myself immedialty while paddling out...

    Wanted: Tyler Riddler

aslbuck wrote: no your not kidding... haha, truthfuly i think malibu wouldnt be a good challenge, they would probably all perform awesome out there, rincon is more high performance and takes a bit more competence to ride but its still too perfect of a wave to judge these boards on... we...

    Wanted: Tyler Riddler

you can see that the IsIs follows the rail contours more of a jacobs 422... the riddler is unique in that im sure it rides alot more old school kind of bobin in the pocket, the riddler has a rail profile thats approaching a pig until the hips come in, but it looks like the widest point on the...

    Bing/Jacobs 422 vs Tylers riddler

havent rid the riddler but the 422 is awesome, ive had one for a year now and its pretty much the only log i ride... I have a couple taks which i was and still am way into but the 422 is just so smooth on every section of the board, it noserides really well, just get in trim and get ten over no...

    New Board

yea man i didnt go out on that huge day... december 21st was it? But it was massive that day, there were sets that were bigger then triple overhead without a doubt... i was taking pictures at blacks that day and there were bombs with like 35 foot faces... it was not a day for anyone in doubt...

    New Board

yea man, that thing will go good at the cliffs... i just got a 7'8 bonzer gun which i think will go great out there... its deffintely way narrower then that thing but ill just have to build up my strength this summer, last winter sucked so this winter is epic, thats what i hear. -Ran

    New Board

that thing looks fun for waves in the over head to maybe doh range... i dunno, i deffinetley wouldnt want a 24" wide board for any waves over 6'... it would be wierd, but in some nice maybe 3-5 4-6 foot swell that thing would probably be killer, you could probably take off so deep and get...

    stepdeck?

little AL wrote: OH ok by flatten out you mean the board actually flexes down and flattens out then right? Thats interesting... I'd be very interested to try that out, but does the flex maybe make the tail pop out a bit easier?

    stepdeck?

oh ok i see now, so its only in the nose of the deck... i get the swing weight reduction... but i would think that that design wouldnt have enough mass left in the nose to cut a nose concave... plus there is probably some kick in the rocker there too right? I dunno, i think the kick in the tail...

    stepdeck?

I remember hearing that step decks are actually worse for noseriding... I cant think why that would be and so I might be remembering incorrectly... The only way i can see it being better for noseriding is maybe te thinned out deck allows more water to sink it down? Just curious really none of...

    stepdeck?

hey, i was alittle embarrased to ask this but I've never been 100% on what stepdeck means... I think it means when you remove foam from the deck to lose weight and what not... can someone give me a 100% deffinition... what are the advantages/disadvantages? Thanks in advance. -Ran
