    Winter suits..... anticipation

thumbs up for the Xcel Comp X series...much more flexible than the Drylock, same interior plush, less expensive... have both a 5.5/4.5 and 4.5/3.5....only negative is not having a hood brim to block sun glare while paddling

    Hayden Midlength Glider

6" would be a good call...and a Futures Performance LB fin is another good choice for 2+1 set-up, one of my fave's....with either 6" just stick a set of Future SB1 sidebites in and good to go...

lot to like about those shapes...pulled tail and fin cluster is fairly clustered, so be easy to overfin.....depending on model length, 6" to 7" Dale Dobson with TA .3.25" sidebites...

    gettin old shoulder pain ?

The standard for complete detachment repair is for the arm to be completely immobalized for the first six weeks post-op , held tight against the chest in the sling. Than 6 to 10 weeks of range of movement rehab with the PT, than transition to home program. A year for complete recovery. The...

Merrick Family Buys back Channel Islands

nicely done, Bruce, the history of the core SB surfboard scene in one fell swoop...ya, AG the shaper I referenced, had just left CI and was furious over the Burton crap...hard road transitioning from a well paid benefits gig to dealing directly with cheap ass surfers again...

Merrick Family Buys back Channel Islands

Had a board shaped by a former long time CI shaper (will keep his name out of this) who'd just bailed from CI after the Burton purchase...very bitter about the changes, watched his price per board get cut in half, part of the plan for scrubbers to replace shapers...CI was merely a vanity pickup...

    gettin old shoulder pain ?

66 (will be 71 next week). Had a partial full thickness tear where a bone spur was rubbing (common), managed it that way for well over a decade with bands. Finally snapped one day when trying to duck dive an OH wave... was in a a crowd or would have ditched. In hindsight, should have gone for...

    gettin old shoulder pain ?

yea, beat to crap at would be a fair description for most of us 70+ elders who got after it..why it's so important to keep fit, eat right, work out routine. Regarding hips - had one replaced 6 years ago, no biggie, just need to focus on not leaving the leg dangling during a wipeout. Have had...
