Shaper thread (show us what you are shaping)

I try to concentrate the V close to the tail and get the forward portion flattening to be more of planing hull. The V was not the secret, it was the result of rocker at the rail line that was setting us free in the latter 60’s. Some of the firsts were getting extra foam glued to the bottoms to...

Working through the custom orders first that we’re waiting for me at Wavegliders. I always get one or two Vbottom requests, 8’4” x 22” x 3”. He wanted one of the disappearing wedge with 0ffsets from a 10’2”B, equal amounts off each end left a good rocker. He provided a nice Mac rendering with...

Part of the plane that’s not needed

It’s work, but in the years past it was those 10-12 hour days, “Nico, it’s 9:45, time to get home “, the it was the 11 Pm dinners that the Iberian peninsula is so famous for. I woke at 4 AM today, Nico got up not much later, reconnoitered at his factory with other employees and caravaned to...

Part of the plane that’s not needed

The idiot I financed for 3 years can be assured the it is definitely for spreading the aluminum dust that turns us into antennas so we can be tracked. Does the IPhone in your pocket do the same thing?

Part of the plane that’s not needed

I hate to be an alarmist, but when I awoke mid Atlantic this morning at 37,000 feet and lifted my window shape I saw this section of what looked like broken off conduit wedged in the ailerons. Must have been something the plane did NOT need to remain in the air

I’ve only made 4 of these so far ? New take on pig style, not so blobish, speedier tail lines. Working off the styles of Fred Wardy where Tinker honed his chops. It is The Laguna. A cut away fin that has plenty of area with rake for drive. It’s been so damn nice to look at, Andrew got a call...

It is an 11’0” so the foil reflects the extra beef, forward rail not a loaf, but definitely not as thin a 9 footer
