  • Nice Diamondback, there's a version of them on the Outer Banks of N.C. that is the color of tea with milk but with that classic pattern, to blend into the sand dunes here.

    What a legend. Water snakes are a whole nother game. I live on a mountain so there aren’t any up here but the ones I see in surf films in Fiji are scary as hell

    Thought I'd chime in. Our local (I live near Topanga) rattler is the Southern Pacific Rattlesnake. And they don't rattle unless you step on them. I've had my hand 12" in front of a good sized one in my yard when I didn't notice it, and it didn't do anything. Dark brown with lighter bands. They're apparently not as aggressive as others but have a more toxic brew of venom.

    Gnarley! I wonder if the one I saw was this type. It didn’t rattle until the snake wrangler started trying to pick it up with the claw thing. Sounds right
