At this point, I wouldn't want his f'in board. I would tell everyone his name and I'd show up at his shop over & over until I had my money back. Especially since he's in your town. Or file in small claims. His kind of "business" should be punished, not tolerated.
I am with Benny. Comeon . . . no board is that wonderful that you need this delaying crap.
Stupid. Not you . . . the boardmaker.

16 weeks!! that is crazy, when i orderd my bing two years ago it took matt about four weeks to shape and get the board to the east coast and the board was perfect. after this lenght of time i would be calling every other day and asking what the hold up. 16 weeks and no board is not acceptable.

Sometimes it takes way longer than expected. 11 weeks is not bad if he said 8. Really. Some builders have created a Ford-like assembly lines creating custom pop outs and then there's the rest that build these things one at a time with a lot of points in the production process where dependencies can blow up in your face; blank arrival, glue up, missed delivery, glass shop is empty then someone brings in 200 boards the day before yours is done, etc... He should've communicated though.
If you still want the board and it's not the wait that bothers you but instead his inability to meet expectations he set then I'd say check in with him again and see when he thinks he'll get the board done. And then you wait some more. You're not asking him to predict the future. If he misses again say bye bye and go get something off the rack.
I hope it works out for you and you get the board you want and ride the snot out of it...

Hulllogfish- Does your shaper have an email address? If he does, send him a message and attach the video below. it'll scare him into finishing your board.

| Without giving too much away, the order was misplaced, then refunded, and no hurt feelings by any party.

| Thank you! It was my first car. Did a mild restore on it with my Dad between the ages of 15-18. It still sits in my Dad's garage, I don't have the heart to take it away from him!

Misplaced huh, well... dude I'd be pissed. How many customs does this guy do, hell, who the f#%k is this guy in the first place? "It's at the glasser" classic. Look man, you're a good guy for not letting other potential buyers know this clown is a liar, I'd be willing to bet though that the dude was laughing at you after the "things were all smoothed out" part. Orders get dropped, it happens, it shouldn't but it does, the unreturned calls and the bald faced lies though? Onward and upward: This was a mini simm right? Day before yesterday I was checking out my new pig with JP, he was building a Simm outta EPS and Balsa. Balsa! Stepdeck and concave and well, you get where I'm going here. NOTE: I receive no benefit from your order, I pay full price and am proud to recommend the following:
