Cool thread, thanks for posting. Kind of ironic too. In the line up this afternoon my buddy was talking about Doug Haut. Glad to hear that Doug is doing better.

BTW, waves were perfect tonight. 2.5 hours in some super clean lined up lefts. Surfed till the sun went down. :D

Aloha!

Hey slo!

Thank you for the thread!

I thought it insightful and F'ing Classic when the post from deadshaper in reference to Doug's stroke said:

"Physiologically there's no reason man doesn't regularly live to 125.... it's the stress and impurities we made for ourselves that get us.

Then again you might be eating organic, and out for your daily walk, only to get run over by a Prius that you didn't hear coming!"

Dollars for donuts this would happen to me walking Westcliff Drive in Santa Cruz checking Cowell's! :D

Very cool! He just finished up one for a friend of mine who lives down at "Scorps". Post it up when you get it. Meanwhile, I'll try to get a peek in the process.

Ed,

You and little Al go into his shaping bay and tell him that he can go up to 18" on the nose and 16" on the tail.  Keep it at 24" wide and pull it forward and backward with a 3.5" thickness.  Tell him I give him complete latitude on the dims. His dad and the complete Perlee family have shared alot of water w/me.  They now know how the ole kook surfs!

P.S...........Just tell Dane you know Tom................dat outta invoke a reaction like little Al received!....................:D:D:D:D  It's still a very small world when it comes to folks who share the passion.

Paddle your ashes out? No big deal.  At least he'll only paddle your ashes once. Hell, he surfs my ass off every time I see him.

ned,

little Al has indicated that Ed, aka Tentoes is an animal when it comes to paddling.  I respect that.  I too am a paddling fool.  Would luv to paddle Ed's scrany ass from Natural Bridges to Capitola.  I would elect Jan Mackenzie as lifeguard and judge.

I'm glad it's a paddling contest cause ole lonesome Ed would kick my ass surfing!  Just witness his hedge surfing thread! :P.......F'ing legendary!
