There were some gems out there today. Many were small yet well shaped. some were real nice.
I was out there Friday early on the rubber ducky.. pretty chilly at dawn!
Yup. First time I wore my jacket out in the water since last January.
It was the walk back in the wetsuit with flippers that killed me that day! I didnt think the water was too bad compared to air temps with breeze.
Going to try and get back out mid-week to take the rubber ducky for another spin.
I agree. The water is manageable. It was the air that was intimidating. Standing on the sand at dark, about to paddle out in a long john vs long john and jacket. Choice was obvious to me.
beautiful morning today.
here is a link to more photos from this mornings session.
fun as always good chats good waves good weather worth the walk. sure wish you would stop blind folding me on the walk down so i could figure out where this place is !!!
OK you got us completely stoked with the pics! How about a little feedback on that new board?
It’s lovely paddles well good weight trims fast from the front half. I’ve never been super comfortable backside at the above spot. Usually set trim and go. Always weary of loosing the stick into the rocks. With that said I had a few larger sets when we first got out that we’re super fun right on the Edge Of almost biffin but kept commitment and made some sections.
The board is a absolute beauty deffinetly he a daily driver amongst my shorter twin fins.
Plus mikes company is always genuine and easy
