I was about to cry about how flat it's been but I held off. I did not want to jinx it. Boy has the waves turned on the last few days. I am grateful (in my own mind, I know I did not cause good waves to show up.) for the last few days. It's been epic. I love Autumn.

What other superstitions do you have? Never saying "One more."?

Funny you say that about "one more". I've been saying it out loud to my buddy over the course of my last several sessions, and I've thought about how it's bad luck each time I say it. My wife has always refused to say that while snowboarding -- I think she has had a few bad experiences over the years after saying it.

When I am snowboarding, and say one more, I stick to it. I never say it if I am tired. When I am tired and say one more in the surf, I usually should have gone in on the last wave I caught.

Never ever paddle in without catching a wave.

Yeah, saying "One more" virtually guarantees that there won't be any more good waves, until, that is, you get out.
