Sorry for the stupid question but I want to paint over the graphics on the bottom of a deck a friend gave me. Can I just spray it up or should I use a particular kind of paint?

Here's a photo of a blank deck I just custom finished. I just used stain and and model paint for the pinlines. Then I polyurathaned the whole thing. Came out nice and it's very durable....

gaucho your deck looks sweet but that was a blank to start with what about painting over a graphic or even removing it and painting the deck

It actually had a full on graphic on the bottom. Nothing a little 60 grit on a power sander can't fix! ;)

Hey Gaucho, are you making custom boards for Mayo or something? I might be interested if the price is right.

No, he's a friend and local surfboard shaper. I have several boards from him. I just used one of his lams when I finished the blank.:)

Yeah, I like his boards too. I've had seven so far! Here's my current batch.
