I shipped 2 mid length boards to Jacksonville a couple of years ago. After driving around the 30th St Station couple of times I finally got my bearings and parked at a meter right outside the entrance. I should have had everything completely packed and it would have just been fill out papers, pay and go. $65 per board at the time. I assumed they would want to inspect the items but was wrong. Took me a little more time to complete the wrapping because of that. Less than 24hrs later, in Florida. I’m told it’s more expensive now.

I shipped a 9-6 board via Amtrak from LA to Newark Penn without a hitch. That was maybe 8 years ago. Cost $60.

Recently sent a 10-footer from LA to Milwaukee. Cost a bit more, but also arrived without incident.

Both had fin boxes, but I don’t think a glass on would suffer with a good packing job.
