Kapoho Bay is gone

    There is still the possibility of something far worse happening. It is always easy to say something like ", , , , not in our life time, , , ,". But, then again, they probably said the same thing in Pompeii.

    yes or the south end dropping off much like it did up by Waipio Valley...now that would be a really big wave

    It is a really cool neighborhood. Was trying to figure out if I could commute from there if I took a job near Hilo. Awesome snorkeling and waterfront areas and beaches. Glad I got to spend time there...

    VOG is nasty stuff...in 09', big island had an exceptionally heavy release, winds went light Kona and slowly enveloped Oahu, where I was on an extended consulting gig, for two weeks..emergency/urgent care centers filled around the clock with folks in respiratory distress...ended up being treated for VOG induced bronchitis myself...

    paradise sometimes comes with thorns...
