Super super super sick board.
Step deck Hornet.
i just picked up a Cooperfish Hornet for Michael, it too has some what of a step deck in that the deck towards the middle is domed and thins out towards the nose and tail. both the nose and tail have a bit of rocker to them and are flipped up. really a complex shape, gene is a master!
I think the 3 of us will be meeting very very soon.
Stoked! And congrats to you both on a couple of Killer boards.
I like that Buddha & 4-panel relief/divider, Lack.
Finished up the refresh on ShadyDave's 8'2" Weber Strato 2. I rode a few yesterday just after sunrise. Decent conditions but crowded Summer lineup. I knew I needed to get out when the pack of super grommets jumped in.
Wow, cool looking board. Is that flat in the middle with two mega V panels on the sides?
Hey @shadydave, I know you're into the V-bottoms. I keep seeing what looks like a vintage V-bottom strapped to the top of a van in the parking lot of a used car dealership in NJ on Rt. 37 on the way to my home break, in case you're in Jersey again anytime soon. I think it's just decorative for the van, which is a shame since it looks clean and fun. Probably not for long if it sits out there and bakes in the sun all day. Part of me dies every time I see it sitting there cooking. Fin looks surprisingly big for the board, almost like a speed skeg. I wonder if the guy would part with it.
Hey...what's the length of that Hornet? I had a 8'6 a number of years ago that I passed on to someone on LI...
Sounds like we have a winner!!
Cool. I get so stoked finding out where these boards have been. PM'd you to get the full scoop. @northbeachboy
