i just picked up a Cooperfish Hornet for Michael, it too has some what of a step deck in that the deck towards the middle is domed and thins out towards the nose and tail. both the nose and tail have a bit of rocker to them and are flipped up. really a complex shape, gene is a master!

Finished up the refresh on ShadyDave's 8'2" Weber Strato 2. I rode a few yesterday just after sunrise. Decent conditions but crowded Summer lineup. I knew I needed to get out when the pack of super grommets jumped in. '68 Strato 2.jpg '68 Strato 2 b.jpg '68 Strato 2 c.jpg

Wow, cool looking board. Is that flat in the middle with two mega V panels on the sides?

Hey @shadydave, I know you're into the V-bottoms. I keep seeing what looks like a vintage V-bottom strapped to the top of a van in the parking lot of a used car dealership in NJ on Rt. 37 on the way to my home break, in case you're in Jersey again anytime soon. I think it's just decorative for the van, which is a shame since it looks clean and fun. Probably not for long if it sits out there and bakes in the sun all day. Part of me dies every time I see it sitting there cooking. Fin looks surprisingly big for the board, almost like a speed skeg. I wonder if the guy would part with it.
